The random map facility makes every game a new game. You play in darkness and don't know the best move. Some moves turn out to be very bad. You depend not only on skill, but also on luck. When succesful, you can build up an invincible army, but it is a pretty long journey when you play the game in its most difficult mode with strong and aggressive opponents.
