It is a pretty and fairly simple game, but... the simplicity is only in presentation of the gameplay. You need to plan ahead and use skills at Your disposal with caution. Winning is satisfying and losing is always another lesson or from time to time a reprimend for being to sloppy with the planning. I love the art style and music. It's an eye candy for pixel enjoyers. Love to jump in for a session or two from time to time.
At first the game is fun, there are lots of options, but I've noticed, very fast, how shallow they are. It presents itself as more complicated than it really is and after a while I've noticed that most of the activities don't really matter. If You have a few spare bucks and are curious, go ahead, buy it. It is still a fun idea and for few runs I had my fun. Just don't think that You will spend as many hours as, for example, Slay The Spire.
Storywise it is still good, old Mafia. Characters are well written, some things got changed, some added, some cut but all and all it felt like they did a good job with keeping the spirit of the original game. Gameplay is modernized to resemble newer instalments of the series. Cover system, ragdolls etc. I've enjoyed this game. It's a bit different from the original, but was still a good experience.
