here we have a truly original game that offers us a new perpective to stratey games. We take control of Eldred , a wizard that can align himselve with five different gods , and this summon their cretures and build your onwn personal army. The art is quite different of many other games , and it gives this a unique look. even if combat can be pretty messy when you have a great army the unique gameplay totally compensates for it. And the humor shouldn't be taken out zizyx is a great characters and one of the best familiars ever made , and charnel can be quite funny too. If you are looking for somethin different this is your game. Plus the voiceacting is one of the best I've ever seen , it has Tim Curry as Stratos and Jennifer Hale as Persephone(FemShep).
I had been hearing about this game for a lot of time util I finally bought it here on GOG , and I must say that it truly ashtonished me. As many people have already said the strenght of this title relies on its storytelling, in the infinite possibilities it has. When you start the game you only have access to a portion of the siti of sigil , the hive , but as the story goes on you will find many places to visit , each of them with their unique atmosphere. Even if the games has "good" , "bad" and "neutral" choices , this are nearly ever put together or in threes , you actually have to think about the consequences of what you are doing. The story start with a pretty clicheish begging , an amnesiac man that cannot die and many people remeber him from before but none can tell anything of use. But when you have played for a bit the cliche will change into a really original masterpiece. But the most interesting partare the multiple personalities of the side characters , such as the floating scull(le petit morte) or a burning madman. All of them with flaws in their personality but interesting . You can really get to love the characters. And depending on where you distribute your skill points some outcmes can be pretty different. But even if everyone is saying how good the story is that doesn't mean that the combat is bad, no it just means that most of the times you can skip it , and most of the times even get more experience than the one you would get by fighting. And of course there are extre dungeons and hidden bosses and characters. All the characteristics I've mentines make this game one if not the best game ever created , and I recommend it to any role-playing lover even if you are not very keen into the DnD mechanics. I would reccomend it to any gamer , but I can understand that some people might like more emphasis on combat , something that this game does not have.
