I played this game when I was very young, and even though the puzzles were too complicated for me then, I found the world exquisite and awe-inspiring. Playing this game over twenty years later, I am every bit as blown away by the wonderful landscapes and surreal characters that you discover. The puzzles are still challenging, though solvable if you pay close attention. Unlike some other games in this genre, the puzzles make sense. Because of the straightforward point-and-click mechanic, Lighthouse: The Dark Being has not aged at all in my book. It may be low-resolution, but it is a trip, and an absolute must-play for adventure-game enthusiasts.
