I am normally not that kind of gamer that plays lots of adventure games but i was really cursious about the whole story around the black death. I was expecting a quite linear story driven game and that is pretty much what you get. Do note though that this does not have to be a bad thing. In my opinion this game is really building up the story from chapter to chapter and gets more interesting the further you get in the game. At first your gameplay options are quite limited but over time you get more options and you can pick and choose on how you want to approach the next obstacle. In general i can recommend this game to everyone who can apprechiate a good story but it is not for those people who seek constant action.
