I played the game years ago on Xbox One, and enjoyed it a fair deal. My father recently had a heart attack, so he’s supposed to take it easy. I thought it’d be the perfect time to get him to try gaming, but the game stutters madly and is unplayable. For reference, AMD Ryzen 2700X, ROG STRIX 2080ti, 64GB DDR4 RAM. Running the game with no mods, and without the better textures dlc available here on GOG. In “Fallout4Prefs.ini”, tried adjusting iSize W and iSize H, added iFPSClamps=58, and a few other suggestions I’d found online. No luck whatsoever. I do hope that I’ll be able to find a solution, or that an update will come along, as the game is enjoyable- otherwise, as is usual with Bethesda, expect problems.
