Frostpunk 2

A demanding but motivating game

The story follows the idea of overcoming nature as an opponent. Internal conflicts are becoming more important instead. The overall story is solid. While the scope of the city is presented as being bigger by the narrative and the visuals, it does not necessarily feel that way. The interaction with the world is similar to Frostpunk, maybe too much for it to really feel different. The different politic paths offer replayability and Frostpunk 2 is not easier than its predecessor. If you have enjoyed Frostpunk, Frostpunk 2 might be for you if you do not care about feeling even more distant to your individual citizens than in the end of the first game. Groups are more important than individuals although single opinions and fates are still shown from time to time. If you are new to the series, prepare yourself for possible frustration. You will not necessarily succeed on your first try but you will have learned what to do differently. A game with a dense atmosphere and interesting choices to make.
