First of all, I think this game (and possibly its genre as a whole) requires a certain level of openmindedness and imagination in order to be found appealing and satisfying. I would describe The Beast Inside as sophisticated and intense, but not everyone will be able to recognize and appreciate that. Especially not if one is looking for straightforward action, little story and lots of killing of overpowered monsters with fancy armor and weaponry (which is the quite opposite of 'sophisticated' by my personal book). This game takes place in your mind as much as it does on the screen before you. If you can easily immerse yourself in a psychologically dark environment and engage in reflection and speculation, then The Beast Inside is a very rewarding and memorable experience. It also helps to have a fascination and some knowledge of the human mind. In response to some of the reviews - don't forget that it's easy to mock what is not understood.
