I was really excited for this game, when I first saw the teaser trailer on Steam I honestly put aside money for this! Then I finally brought the game... Oh boy. First off I want to state that I do have some personal hatred towards the Unreal 3 Engine. I dislike the graphics and as a Source engine fanboy. I hate the fact that the Unreal 3 Engine, which can't handle photo realist graphics. Yet Refused to run on Graphics cards which is under the recommended system requirements. When other game engines, such as source. Can run on High settings on low end computers. Anyway. Physics, this game has been compared to Portal countless times and thats not a fair evaluation. The Ball stands on it's own as being a Puzzle Survival (possibly horror?) game which pits you against a wide collection of Animal based creatures of Doom. But the Physics engine isn't as good as Source. The objects you manipulate feel light weight, the bounce too much when the sound effects indicate that the material the object is made out of is Heavy Stone. The Ball it's self can sometimes be slow and sluggish to move, and other times. In the same room. Can easily ricochet off walls and almost kill you. The game has a great Art style, and a Unique settings. But the Unreal 3 Engine isn't built for Puzzle Physics. And if you are looking for a Portal like level of precise realism... You won't find it here.
