Baldur's Gate 3

Flawed

There is a lot of content, a lot! The meta plot is solid and the main cast of villeins is solid with excellent voice actors and most of the companions are likable even if the dev’s shove shadowheart down your throat a bit much. But, It has some serious flaws post act one with railroading and serious deus ex machina shoving of the plot. The camera and jumping is your worst enemy half the time and drives you nuts indoors and many changes made from early access just makes it feel more like a Divinity crossover rather than a baldurs gate game. Also Wizards of the Coast diversity commissar was apparently permanently glued to and omnipresent in the development studio as teaflings, drow, deep gnomes, devils, gith and assimar walk the streets as if it was bloody Tuesday without people batting an eye and you scant can walk a step without stepping on a promiscuous pan/bi/homosexual/furry yapping loudly about their bedroom preferences. In short some characters feel as if they where written with a crude checklist on a Starbucks napkin during a break. The kind of stuff you expect from bad amateur fanfic and ERP rather than Forgotten realms D&D. Faerûn is diverse yes but its not a bloody world spanning fetish giga orgy of a melting pot where neither bugbear on ogre action or plain bear is off the table.

Cyberpunk 2077

Flawed masterpiece

First of the game is exelent and if you are a fan of Deus Ex etc you will like it tho it has some flaws. Alot of the initial flack the game got at releace was due to broken console ports and that inturn spilled over to PC. But PC release was far from flawless itself and was full of buggs but nowhere as awefull as some would have you beleve. The game is good, real good but it did not live up to the extreame hype that an extended dev cycle and hi profile actor promotion and almost deific expectations on CDPR after The Witcher 3. It was a victim to extreame expectations and some hybris on the studio side as their custom inhouse engine coused enormus issues and those where not entiarly adressed before release. It woud have been an instant classic if it only had stayed in the development oven for a year or two more. Was it due to corpo/goverment pressure? Was it financial trubbles or a naive belief that it could be fixed post launch without backlash? Who knows but it cost them and us dearly.

Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous - Enhanced Edition

Half baked.

So far i have gotten to the gray garrison lvl 2 why am i reviewing this game without clearing it? because i cant go any further because the game crashes my entire computer as soon as i try to go up the stairs to lvl3. So here goes the score so far is. Gameplay 6/10 Its serviceable no big innovation from the previous title or the genre at large Stability: 0/10 Lots of bugs and in my case game breaking and system crashing ones Story: 6/10 It's pretty good but well trodden ground. Amnesia hero, demons invade go kick them back. Characters: 4/10 Most are kinda unlikable and bland and there is definitely some woke shenanigans involved but hey pathfinder 2ed is plagued by the same so its kinda faithful to the material i guess but it feels unnatural and forced. Its no neverwinter nights, pillers of eternaty or baldersgate that's for sure i'd say pick it up after clearing those and after it has had alot of patches and maybe on a sale.

Pathfinder: Kingmaker - Enhanced Plus Edition

Great but horrobly flawed.

Lot's of content and good story but suffers from really bad design. The AI is bare bones for your NPC companions so they require excessive individual micromanagement. The horribly slow overworld travel time combined with equally horrible rest time as in actual IRL time spent just watching slow animations while you are just trying to get from point A to B and back again. You do this hundreds of times traveling the map back and forth and gods help you if you travel in the mountains where it grinds to a crawl and forces you to rest even more often. Also selling items has a delay between each item for some dumb reson so that takes forever to do. Over all a good game but the tedium of meningless downtime gets maddening after a while.

Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire

Meh.

It was ok with some intresting points tho i feel the naval combat was under cooked and mostly tedius and charactor development of partymembers and some intresting NPC's was underwelming.

BATTLETECH + Shadowrun Returns

Good but not good Enough

The good stuff Beautiful art and a decent battletechy storyline. A good and enjoyable digital interpretation of battletech combat if a bit to slow at times with exelent customisation of mechs. Good music and sound effects and the mechs feel clunky and masive as they jump, run and stomp down tanks/buildings. An awesome a new Battletech game so why is it not enough? Long load times running an a high spech rig on an m2 samsung evo thats not ok for a low effort game like this that shuld be able to load a level in a mater of seconds on a toaster. Stinks of poor optimisation. Voiceacting is sparse as in really sparse and way of in consitancy. In a conversation one charakter is silent and another sudely says somthing and its just confusing it is as if either money or time ran out for voice actors part way thru the development. GFX is mainly stills and minor animation with some still 3d characters without lipsync animation that's just boring and kind of creepy. The sheer lack of animation in the campaign hub screens sinks of halfbaked game rushed out. Horrible resolution support for Ultra wide screens (unplayable in native resolution) and UI scaling. Its a 15-25$ game in quality value in my book since it feels like an early access game. Do i like it? Yes, would i recomend it to a friend? No i'd say wait for a price drop after they are finished milking the fans or after a few patches.

Simon the Sorcerer 2: 25th Anniversary Edition

Nope

An over prized lazy mobile port with a budget filter. They removed the previus pc version to force sales of this junk. Stay away
