Hive Jump 2: Survivors

A lot of bugs...to kill

It takes a long time until you get somewhere with the games progression system. I found this game to be alright, but compared to other similar games it feels slow in terms of progression, limited in scope and replayability. I dit not find the User Interface to be particularly intuitive or clear, but got around that after a short time. Ultimately, I would not recommend it over other, better games in the genre.

CHUCHEL

Oh! What does this do?

This game is being received very different depending on what people expect from it. If you expect "more of the same", as in more awesome Amanita classic game structure with a story like machinarium, you might feel disappointment while playing Chuchel. I am not sure why you should though, since Chuchel is amazing fun to.....lets say experience, right? You explore the World of Chuchel through his adventures. It is not a standard - click here, go there - adventure though. This is more like a masterclass on curiosity and reward in game design. I understand that some people are not enjoying that, but I personally had a "no precise expectation" look at the game for about 1 hour and was basically unable to drink sth or speak a full sentence since the game had me laughing so much. The hilarity and pure silly fun of this is amazing! I can recommend to anyone who has no high expectations to this NEEDING to be a point and click adventure. It is more a "click and enjoy adventure". So, if that is seomthing you would like to do, click on buy and see what you experience. it might just be joy. Better see for yourself though!

Cyberpunk 2077

Absolute Cyberpunk

This game does exactly what I hoped it would. It delivers, with a great attention to detail, precision and gorgeous dynamics, a story set in a cyberpunk sci-fi setting. This story does not hinge exclusively on graphic effects, the setting, the writing, the voice acting or the soundscape, not only on the lighting, the mix of cinematic and player centered events as well as frame-work about night city and its residents nor the various characters you meet. The Story hinges on all those things, put together in an astonishing way. I was speechless that, after only 16h, I have already experienced sooooooo many situations and moments in a game that could easily have a boring questionmark-follow parcours at its heart. It was the absolute opposite. Main and Sidequests, the size of the city, the bustling life and crime....amazing! And I am still only starting out. This is Cyberpunk people! Immersion, style, atmosphere and story. Great experience so far! Sidenote: I had 0 Crashes, 0 Bugs, very few gfx glitches that did not matter at all. (atch 1.03) I have remaped quite a few keys to my liking, can get great performance on high to ultra settings (ryzen 1800x, 1080ti /w 1080p 60hz)

Crashlands

Time spent - goals lost.

This game starts out as a nice craft, explore, fight experience - pretty much a casual game, not very complex in terms of mechanics and controls. It does have an interesting setting, a weird sense of humor and and even weirder story to tell. That story seems to be leading somewhere as well as the crafting and fighting. After some 12 hours spent in the game I could however not find a reason to play on. Quests and crafts repeat themselves. The combat is rather dull. Nothing that makes me go on. It just feels like a simple idea stretched out to until I felt it did overstay its welcome. Only recommended for players who enjoy a long grind with not much inbetween.

Asura: Vengeance Edition

This is fun! And fair! And challenging!

I had a very good time checking out Asura earlier today. The Presentation is very good; music and graphics are nicely done and the setting is unique! The Controls are fully customizable, from a) pure keyboard to b) mouse mainly to c) mouse and keyboard - d) A controller is the recommended choice since I did not try it myself, I cannot really say anything about it. I played with keyboard and mouse and found the controls to be very smooth and precise. The soundtrack adds to the ambience created by using the Indian mysticism and all the demons and gods in it as enemies and a fantastic fortress as a battleground. The Story is quite grim, nicely transported with an introduction video and some background information and lore between Levels / Stages. The fact that this game incorporates action based gameplay with persistent upgrades and permanent death in one smooth experience is something that I rarely experience. Each part is well crafted and they all fit together really well. I can easily recommend this for the price asked.

Diluvion: Resubmerged

Goldfish, Shipwrecks, Submarines

‘Sonar is working Captn! Allright then ye landlubbers, let´s find ourselves some shiny loot!’ - After the sonar ping is done, you get the feeling that there is something outside, something following you. And it is not a swarm of helpful goldfish…it´s a pirate! ‘Ready Torpedo Tube 1 Mr. Rawlson!’ Ready Capn’ ‘Then FIRE! For Neptunes sake, FIRE!’ •You are in a submarine. And you are the Captain. You have a Crew consisting of one 1st Officer manning the helm of the vessel. You are somewhere in the deep sea. From then on, it is going to be one hell of a ride! •The game features a tutorial that shows you the ins and outs of commanding a submarine – Controls, Crew management, Trading with Hubs/Ships and Questing/Navigating as well as an introduction to the dangers of the deep ocean. •Your task is to explore, navigate, trade and follow some quests. Quests vary from navigating, to fighting and trading as well as collecting. •You are limited in range by oxygen supply and your vessels ability to dive deep. Upgrading your ship and crew is essential! There is also a limit to how large your crew can be. That limit is determined by the size and type of your ship. You can upgrade your ship and buy different ship types. The Atmosphere this game creates is amazing. It is partly due to the choice of graphics style and partly because the developers chose to include an amazing soundtrack. The feeling of actually controlling the submarine arrives quickly. Commanding your crew is done manually and in times of battle with a bullet-time mode called “captains time”. That adds to the dynamic fighting under the sea. You can always try to avoid a fight, if it is not quest related – you have to be fast enough though. The Submarines controls feel slow compared to other games, but not too slow to take the whole dynamic out of being able to control the ship with mouse and keyboard overall. You will enjoy this if you like either a) submarines b) loot c) great atmosphere d)uniqueness in games

Xenonauts

Uncharted Waters Review by CaptN3mo

Xenonauts is a game with different aspects of strategy involved (Real-time, turn-based, accelerated time and paused progression). Between base management, the protection of Earth and the general survival of the human race you have to manage a large amount of other things in-between. It won´t get boring! Here are some more details: • The game sets a nice pace for you (not slow mind you, just appreciative of your being new to this game) to understand how it is controlled. You are introduced to a few important hotkeys, core UI elements, the various keyboard and mouse commands and you are able to get a feel for the inner workings of the game as it progresses. After that, the speed and difficulty are increasing rapidly! o On the one hand, you have the global alien invasion situation to manage in a real- time overview of Earth.(There are 4 different speeds to choose from) o On the other hand, you need to engage the attackers from out there somewhere in turn-based ground-combat. You need to take down their “flying saucers” first of course. The Interception of UFO´s gives you the choice between automatic resolution and manual intercept. o Furthermore, you have to manage one or more bases of operations from where you launch intercepts and recover/fight missions. You build the bases up from scratch (except for the first one, which comes basically operational but with expansion options). In those bases you manage research, troops and equipment, defence, radar observation as well as your air and ground vehicles. Xenonauts is the graphically unimpressive but mechanically maybe even superior or more complex sibling of the new Xcom Games and the faithful Heir, as true to the heritage as possible and healthy, of the spirit and challenge of the old X-com games. Make of that what you will. It is a truly well-made game. It shines without being glittering. It is for everybody who wants a strategically challenging game.

Windward

CaptN3mos favourite Sandbox Game

Windward is an open-seas sandbox game that you can set to nearly anything you want it to be! You have full control about pretty much every aspect of the game prior to starting it. You create your own experience (and it is a Server you open up, so your friends can join!): • Setting the game up gives you choices for the following: Make the gameserver open to friends, Define and tune the 6 Factions in the game to your liking, Set general Challenge level, amount of piracy and Combat Damage, world size, and starting point. • Setting sail into truly uncharted waters, the game starts you with a small ship, a tiny inexperienced crew and some general starting supplies and equipment. From there on, you choose your own adventure. • As mentioned above: it is a true sandbox! Do whatever you feel like. Set your own pace. Enjoy. That being said, maybe this game is not for everyone, because you really need to use the tools presented: factions, piracy, diplomacy, trade, quests, exploration to forge your game experience. If you want a pre made one, this game is not for you. Look and feel and sound: Windward looks super pretty, especially the water and its sea life. The Music is on point relaxing and engaging, depending on the situation. Battlesounds are satisfying. The Mission texts, NPC shoutouts and general content is quite enjoyable, adequately themed and funny and a bit on the lighter side of things. It is not trying to emulate a reality based world, but a fantastic fantasy version of a world about ships, and cargo and piracy. Captains Orders: Everybody who is into ships, pirates or relaxing sandbox games: this is it. This is not a challenging economy simulation nor is it a realistic, physics based naval combat simulation. But it takes enough effort to make one of the different aspects work in your favor to make the game an enjoyable experience alltogether!

Lichdom: Battlemage

Spellcrafting+ Spellblasting = Fun!

So, you can cast spells. So you are mage. So you think you are all powerful? Well, let me put it this way. HELL YEAH you are! If you master the concepts that apply to spellcasting in this game (Tutorials are included) you can smash enemies to bits by using A LOT of different spells doing A LOT of things in this game. What you get with Lichdom: Battlemage is a first-person action game with a story to follow that is not going to blow your mind away(diplomatic speech applied). You also get the best possible chance that I know of to go downright crazy with a mix of strategic spellcasting and shooter gameplay. It is not too easy to get how some spells are supposed to work together, but if you work through that - the tutorials in the game are well done and help a lot - you can have a fantastic time spellcasting your way through different enemies, hordes of enemies, boss enemies and nasty annoying enemies.
