The game ist awesome and I bought it twice, both on gog an steam, but the next gen update broke it for me. I am a linux user and played the old GOG Version on my PC through. I started the steam-version game+ on my Deck and it worked fine until the "next gen" update was installed automatically. First - an extra launcher in steam? are you kidding? who the ... needs "yet another launcher in launcher"? If the people would like to use your launcher they would buy the game on gog and use your launcher (if they can). Like I has at first. Although your launcher has no native linux support. I bought the game on GOG first (to support the "good minded developers who are on gamers side") and played it with galaxy+wine/proton. We, the linux users, were asking for linux version of your stupid launcher for years (and this is the most requested feature of gog galaxy of all time btw.). You have even marked the "feature request" as "work in progress" so we hoped you will deliver. But the years have passed and nothing have changed, besides the status of this feature request is no more "work in progress". So you lied. Again. So planty of linux users have stopped buying stuff from gog. Me too. Second - after the update the steam version stopped working (on my machines with linux). On my PC it is just a black screen. No sound. No video. No game. On the steam deck it is endless loading. I do not know why. I do not know how good the new GOG version works, I have not and will not try it because I have stopped using gog and I do not care anymore at this point Conclusion: RED2.0 is shait like expected. The do not deserve your money
W2 and W3 baker here. I have waited 5 years for this game and as linux user I am really disappointed. Anyway... I have an old Win7 x64 on my PC as dual-boot (for some games and programs). But on Win7 the game does now work either. I got black screen after selecting level of difficulty and nothing happened. After searching on the internetz I managed to localize the problem. My windows version misses "windows media extensions". But it refuses to install this shit because "your CPU is not supported by W7". I have Ryzen 7 1700X btw. Yeah, sure, not supported... ffs... Screw Microsoft and Screw inXile. If I could, I would refund. But as a baker... Thanks for that.
