Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition

what fallout 3 tried to be

If you found yourself disappointed with fallout 3 (like many other fallout fans) don't look further - this game is everything Fallout 3 wanted to be but failed. The writing is awesome and engaging, the world feels alive and is filled with adventure, tons of memorable characters, companions and dialogue lines. Actually engaging storyline that grants you pretty much complete freedom as to how the game will end. I can't recommend this game enough, if you are a fallout fun this one is a must have. I had to deduct one star however, because despite everything the game still runs on gamebryo. In case you don't know, this game engine is known for being a crash-prone buggy mess with hilariously bad physics. Nonetheless, this deosn't really significantly deduct from the enjoyment of the game.

Loop Hero

Can't recommend

I bough the game on steam, clocked in about 15 hours and I don't think I will play it any more. The game is fun for the first 10 hours, after that you see pretty much everything there is to see in the game and it will just repeat ad nauseum. You as a player also have very little agency in the game, besides placing new tiles (you also get equipment for your character, but it's jsut numbers and replcing one piece of equipment with anothet that has higher numbers). Also, the game loves to skip out on certain key information in the tooltips. For example, it doesn't mention that if you build a mountain, you will start getting attacked by harpies. Or that wheat fields, which are beneficial and supposed to heal you, will also spawn monsters. This is just two examples off the top of my head, but there are many more like this in the game. Overall I can't recommend this game, definitely not for it's full price.

Monster Train

must have for Slay the Spire fans

If you enjoyed Slay the Spire, you're most likely going to love this game. I'm a huge fan of deckbuilding games and let me tell you, I don't think I've ever found any other game that offers this level of customizability. You can upgrade any card, but not only with just a generic power increase. Every card has two slots for upgrades, which inlcude things like lower mana cost, an upgrade that retunrs the card to the top of your deck when it's played, an upgrade that increases power and removes the card from your deck for the remainder of the battle etc. Same thing with creatures. But here you not only get to upgrade them, with the DLC you can also combine any two creatures, which makes for crazy amount of possible combinations. With that in mind, the game has insane levels of repliability. I highly recommend it to any card game fan.

Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden

Pretty diappointing

I found the gameplay kind of disappointing. Initially it was fun, however the stealth sequences eventually either require no effort from you (you just walk around your enemy's eyesight, wchich is marked with a bright circle on a map) or you're forced to grind it out on earlier maps, because on some maps you have to fight and if you've been using stealth (like, you know, the way the game kind of suggests you do in the beggining) then if you skipped even a small part of combat you're screwed and have to reload. Also, the fact that you can miss the stealth attacks is kind of stupid. If you miss your initial attack (or don't manage to kill your enemy with it) then they alert the entire map and you are simply forced to reloead from the beggining. So overall, an interesting premise but a disappointing outcome.
