The Smurfs 2 - The Prisoner of the Green Stone

Excellent game for kids

After playing this game for the better part of three hours, trying to find the reason that it's rated so highly I came to the conlcusion that I'm just not the target demographic for the title. The game itself is smooth, easy to play, colorful and generally pleasant but doesn't offer the challenge I think most gamers seek above the age of 10. Perhaps I quit too soon as there was a lot to unlock, but the repetitivness of the enemies and the scenery that the story takes place in just becamoe too much to continue.

Planet of Lana

Solid Little Indie Game

It's a wonderful playthrough, a game which gives the player challenges while also not leading to one wanting to rip their hair out while playing it. The story is cohesive enough to give the charaters a coherent goal without going through QTE's or cutscenes contantly. If you're the type of gamer who find thrill in solving the puzzle and can derive the excitement out of creative problem solving, this will definitely be worht the time!

GreedFall

Skyrim, just worse

I was intrigued by the story in Act 1 which kept me from becoming hyper-aware of how repetitive the gameplay and also the environments were quickly becoming. There's a leveling system, a crafting system, and everything else you'd expect and want in a RPG, but the systems don't compliment eachother and the progession doesn't tie into the story or the traveling well. Consistnetly you'll find yourself without enough skills to open the chests. you won't have the right skills to craft, you're too weak to use better weapons and perfectly enough, are too weak to even jump because this too, is a "skill." Combat is very generic and repetitive and combined with the "questing" (which is a little more than running around an area that is "open" because there is distance between the walls that block you) I could only handle the game for a couple of hours until, like a dog eating its dinner, I got sick of seeing the same thing over and over and over again. I gave it two stars because there was some effort placed into the scenery and the storyline, but unfortunately for this player, I've seen and heard enough!
