SpaceBourne 2

7 mo., 13 patches behind for GOG version

Here on GOG, our game version is THIRTEEN versions behind?? Where are we going with that move? We've not gotten any updates since 14 of February 2025 update? Looking at all the great changes Steam players get with the latest version...well...I'm sure they're so grateful for that. Or, no one cares that no one cares about the GOG versions of games. With all the AI implemented development in Spacebourne 2...well, hey! Why don't you get AI to help compile the latest version for GOG, too? Outside of that, great game (minus all the alpha-version mess the GOG version is left with)! 3 stars for now until this game is up-to-date as though the GOG version is honored. I am needing assistance with flight controls. Seems like there are some missed information in the tutorial runs during your launch into space for the first time.

Outward Definitive Edition

They nerfed co-op to DRM in this version

Definitive Edition is to add DRM back to the game. No good, not worth a positive view--regardless of how fantastic this action/adventure/survival RPG is.

Grow: Song of the Evertree

Super open world adventure/exploration

Perfect for flower pickers, people who want to look for rare bugs and fish, explore a beautifully designed world and it's delightful character creation. Like spending idle time restoring nature and trading trinkets and items with villagers that move into your town? The achievements presented in the game provide plenty to do. The town is yours, if you're into that sort of thang.

The Axis Unseen

Great Hunting Game

Immersive, bewildering, threatening. Sound, graphics, user interface, all is in check for people that want to explore and get into some trouble because you forgot you are also being hunted.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl

It's GREAT

S.T.A.L.K.E.R. fans rejoice! I finally got it to run on my desktop (i5 10600k / 16gb DDR4 / Nvidia 3060 12gb). Open Nvidia Control Panel, Manage 3D settings ->Program Settings for the Stalker2.exe, set CUDA - GPUs and OpenGL rendering GPU to use your graphics card specifically. Then set Max Frame Rate to 60. One of these settings changes allowed my CPU to compile shaders and the game started. Play away, stalker fans. This open world is unnerving as !$@#. Love the gameplay. I expect the devs will add proper keybinding options, and stuff like that. It's a little weird we're "pistol-whipping" all these little containers open. So loud...Shhh....

Retchid

Backing this. Solid work is done here.

I'm down with this one. I scoured the internet and watched a few videos showcasing the gameplay, and I like what I saw. Releases like this are why I play PC games. I just started playing it, and I'm really enjoying it. Can't wait for further development. I bought Doom 3 BFG here, but didn't get a chance to replay it (own the original disc from early days also). Retchid is a treat. If this was the early 2000's and I bought this in Best Buy, I'd put it on the shelf right next to Genesis One, System Shock Remake, Several potential future roadmap updates come to mind after digesting what I've seen with the gameplay: 1. Crouch needs to have a toggle ON/OFF option in Controls menu 2. Ability to find an NPC companion to battle enemies with until it dies (hidden find or reward from saving said NPC 3. Work on the animations and "heaviness" of the weapon fire and ballistics 4. The flashlight needs better (slight) ambient lighting that bounces across large rooms. Also, the shine effects on metallic walls when pointing the flashlight--it disappears off of the wall at a very short unrealistic distance. 5. The charged shot of the first weapon you get does not have any physics effects when shooting at dead things laying around. Boring--give it some punch. It one-shot kills and decapitates heads at close range, right?? :) You might have an opportunity to create a "Half-Life 2 crowbar" satisfying effect with this one. 6. Some of the doors might be a bit too rythmic with their "broken smash bang-bang-bang oopsie electronics". Make the noise a little more sporatic, tiny bit slower pace. It will keep those passing moments with the erie ambience from being thrown off too far. Thank you, From Beneath Software. #longlivevideogames #longliverocknroll

Dungeons of Edera

I Was Looking For This Game For Years

1. NPC companions? Yes, as if inspired from Dragon's Dogma 1. It's AMAZING. When you get your starter companion, protect him. Even though he's cheap, he's worth keeping alive in the dungeons you select from the billboard of requests. The 'shared stash' where you can keep your loot fits perfectly into this gameplay style. 3. The graphics/sound/voice acting? They're on par for a AA game, I have no visual/audial complaints about it at all. Emersive. 2. Plenty of loot? Yes, yes, and YES. Inspired by Dungeon Siege, or Borderlands. Loot is quite exciting to come across. 3. Combat mechanics? Have you played Hand of Fate 2? This game offers the same style of [jump in and meet the new challenging wave of enemies]. Keep in mind, they're not searching for you--you are searching for them...with a slight tactical vigor. It is designed to simply challenge you to watch the enemy, know your weapon's reach, use ranged bow/magic as a 'surprise attack' mechanic. Use your skills wisely, and don't just bum-rush a bunch of adversaries unless you know you're capable. 4. The AI is not great, but does the job well enough to entertain and challenge you; the enemies can be quite a challenge, so don't think the game is too easy. 5. Story? Don't worry about it. This is a dungeon crawl in large, open-world environments, as well as fascinating dungeons/caves/pathways. Sometimes the 'dungeons' are repetitive, but that should be overlooked. Each land you warp to is a fantastic environmental feast. 6. Controls? I think they're perfect. The use of Shift-Space combo and [minimally] one or two other combo key bindings fit right into the gameplay design, and allow for enough control over the character to traverse wisely across the lands without faulter. I've seen reviews/complaints about the controls...don't worry about it. There's a reason the Spacebar has multiple uses, and I consider the controls to be expertly designed.

System Shock

(im)perfection.

It may have a few bugs, but haven't found anything game-breaking yet. I support the devs on this one; you can really see the detail and effort they put into this release. This world is deep, granting such an engaging atmosphere. I'm loving the aspect of exploring the space station, learning the corridores myself and hadn't found a need to utilize the map or minimap yet. Just visually taking everything in while fighting off baddies and destroying cameras is quite a fun experience. I'm also enjoying having to manage my inventory, deciding which junk to [scrap] and which key materials I should hold on to to exchange for more credits. The voice acting is great. On par for what the prior tenants of the ship would be sounding like--distressed, anguished, informal. Make sure you listen to everything and take it seriously; it will help you throughout your journey (finding hidden gems/areas) and make the entire experience worth while.

Tainted Grail: The Fall of Avalon

Amazing RPG

Play it. Take your time developing your skills. It is not a chore--in fact, it's very engaging to build your stats by "doing". The world is great to explore. Danger seems always present, but the pace allows you to pick and choose carefully which enemies/dangers you want to face. The food crafting is fun. The story is unique. The characters are great, including the voice acting. Top notch experience for early 200's RPG lovers. Do it. Especially if you want your next gritty "Skyrim" experience.
