While I definitely got my money's worth from the game its really not that groundbreaking and innovative game that was promised. The game is really buggy as well and there is hardly any roleplaying to be seen here. -Every perk in the skill tree is just passive but not really an active skill so I don't see where the RPG tag comes from -Police appear out of thin air and try to kill you if you even slightly damage npc's in the open world -Player is prevented from killing "important" npc's. It shouldn't be this way in year 2020. -Game prevents you from refusing story npc's help in certain parts in the game and forces you to follow their way through the main story. This makes no sense and proves that player choice is not relevant at all since everything is on rails rollercoaster ride and you just get to be nice to people. -Game is built around following map marker and pointer and doesn't really work without it. They could have added street names, addresses and gave player info instead of direct location and pointer on where to go.. -Player is blocked from exploring the full game world until they complete certain amount of main story quests. This is complete bs and doesn't need to be like this. I want to explore the city and not to spent first hours doing on rails missions where you cannot look and search anything yourself -Speaking of searching and looking for something, there is not enough of it in the game world. Player cannot really discover any hidden items or unique stuff from anywhere except via story missions or side missions. Why make a megacity and make it so empty and boring? There are plenty of other reasons why this game is not as great as it was promised to be but I'm not going to write anymore of it. CDPR, you have your work cut out for you if you intend to make me and other people to buy your next dlc for the game.
The main problem I'm having with this game is the wallrunning and jumping towards the next wallrunning platform. Sometimes character completely stops in air and falls to his death. I have tried every way to make wallrunning feel smooth but it seems that most of the time I get meaningless deaths because lack of control. Overall its a solid game with parkour, action with cyberpunk theme but it could have used some more polishing.
Everyone should own this game regardless if they are used to playing turn based rpg's or not. My first playthrough took me 100+ hours and it was very much worth the purchase. There were a few annoying puzzles in the game that I didn't enjoy though so Im not giving the game perfect score.
