I like the stalker series because it offers something different than the regular type of mainstream games out there. However to get the best out of call of pripryath you need to update it with the pripryath reclamation patch, that improves the game in terms of game technical aspects and makes it simply work better. I haven't finished the game but reached the point where I finally linked up with the resistance. And I must say the build up to that moment has been great with what the game brings you through. I was a bit concerned how the hell I would be able to make progress with those robots around, but all it took was a leap of faith. Yes that's how immersed I got when stepping out into the unknown and most likely deadly enviroment. Alot of scary moments because you know you are f***ed if you get caught. Great game with alot of cool weapons (cough lasers) and content if you are afan of the Terminator franchise :) There is no fate but what you make ;)
So I've completed a fathers promise and I am mindblown beyond imagination. This game is miserable, dark and unforgiving. But it is one of the best games I've played for a long time. It kind of reminds of Escape from Tarkov, but from a civilian point of view and a bit more forgiving. + Amazing story concept + Graphic Art + Music + Interface and content to interact with - A bit stressful since you don't know how many days you have to fulfill the main objective of a story (relating to a fathers promise, dunno about the others). Great game that is worth your money and the creators deserve your purchase!
