I have played NMS for many years now and it definitely started out close to garbage at launch. However, we are 7+ years in, Nth expansions added to the game, engine fixes, seasonal(sort of) content, new races, new stories, new ships... and all FREE. You pay once for this game, you can play solo or with friends and ALL that they have added to the game since is included, no extra fees, no DLC charges. It's all there. Originally puchased on Steam, but recently bought on GoG so I could start over and best of all, actually own the game. TY AGAIN GoG and Keep it going Hello Games. Great work.
Been waiting a long time for this game and it is NOT letting me down. Clean fun gameplay with beautiful effects and locations. Controls(on keyboard/mouse) are intuitive. The story is on rails, there is no decision making to be had except with gear/upgrades and build theory, which it has in spades. Only thing I feel it's missing is consequences for freeform murder/piracy in it's open-world format. Lastly the only issue I have had is with controller support, which is regretful. I really enjoyed playing the first game on controller and was looking forward to it here, but it just doesn't work well at all for me. Your experience may be different and my fingers are crossed someday it will be patched/fixed. -0.5 for controller issues Overall a d 4.5 * game IMO. Really enjoying it! Well done ROCKFISH Games.
