In Germany just "Die Völker" or "Alien Nations" for the international version is a milestone of gaming in 1999. Different nations with individual balancing each (wood, stone, both but a bit less). You can teach your people to be teachers, craft buildings or resources, hunt, farm, different kinds warriors are possible. You can extend your town, build more towns, use diplomacy (war, truce, peace). In an endless game you may find the building a bit to repetitive. The game has some technical flaws, but it still has the potential to have a lot of fun. Too sag, that the successor was not that good.
Steam World Dig started a very good series of different games in a world full of robots. I guess many words have been written about the search and game play in the mines. It is sad, that the game ends so fast. The boss is a little bit too easy while the self-destructing minions in the last stage are not.

And usually there is not that much energy to collect in exceedingly difficult and long passages. So, I have only 5 life cells while he has almost ten. At some points, the weak interpreter for the controls really crushes the game. Even if you are happy, that you made it after a while it is way to frustrating. Thus, I give four stars, but I do not regret that I bought this game.
