Cyberpunk 2077

A diamond littered with dust.

The bad things first: - Lots of small bugs. Some stuff hovers in the air when it should disappear... some NPC popups. For me personally nothing really bad. A few T posing but it like happened 2-3 times in 21 Hour. - Optimization is eh. I'm playing on a GTX1070 and an I7 7820HK. And I get 30-50 FPS on mostly ultra depending on the part of the map I am. For me this is ok, i prefer good graphics in these kind of games than high fps. - AI is kinda janky. - Some balancing and game design issues ( no warning that you're about to get into a much higher level quest than you, weird dodge keymap, stuff like that. ) And now the positive. - Combat is good. Nothing new under the sun but it's very solid. -Level and mission design is top notch. Up there with the best. You are rarely forced to deal with a situation one way. You can almost always find different routes, methods stuff like that to solve a problem. - Graphics is awesome. If you have the rig for it you know it. Just boot up the mission about a certain festival, you'll understand. -And the world. The city and the whole map is just jawdropping. I bet that CDPR just locked a few dozen architect, designer and programmer in the same room for 6 years to achive this. I mean... These guys built a whole future city out of nothing. That in itself is a great achievement. - Story and cahracters... basically witcher 3 level at this point. Almost all the characters whio have quests or little stories attached are interesting. Adn the stories as well. At one point I realised I spent like 3 hours doing little side stuff and it was awesome. And the style. This game has style. Lots of it. It's just unique that way. I think they nailed what they wanted. An awesome, dark depressing but way above the industry level sci fi experience. Not even close to AC and COD clones regarding the amount of work it went into this. Those 8 years show. Shame it gets bombed over stuff that coul'd have been resolved by a few more months in the oven,

Life is Strange: Before the Storm

Bittersweet

Tiitle is self explanatory. Really. I don't want to push anybody because this is kind of a niche game. But if you have the current asking price to spare, have 10 hours to invest, and an EQ that is quantifiiable in the spectrum of real numbers... you wont be able to put this down. It's really good.
