I had no idea what to expect when I first got this game (the US version). What I got was an interesting story that goes completely sideways at the end, but had some excellent moments. Without ruining anything, there are a few times where you're doing the adventure game environment hunting, but with a timer going down building tension. The opening scene in particular is incredibly memorable. I actually felt tense while playing it, more than I do with most games. So, yes, the game isn't perfect. But the highs are really high, and it's worth a go even if after it's done you're wishing it was a little better.
