It flat out does not work. The control configuration does not respond to 90% of the controllers out there, and in case it does you can only configure 3 buttons on controllers and joysticks so forget about using your High Punch and Fatalities. The keyboard configuration is actually even worse that in MK4. Expect resolution issues. Even with serious control tampering to Dos Box it plays like crap. I am a huge MK and I regret buying these titles, there is literally no support for these games, they won't work any time soon.
Well first of all, I can confirm that what all the other players have said about this game is true, this is a really poor port of an otherwise really fun game. When I first played Raptor back in the 90's the game was amazing for its impressive graphics, and cool music, however, this port not only did not add anything new to the game, it made it WORSE There is no controller support, you cannot mix Mouse and Keyboard controls (something I clearly remember from the 90's version) the music was completely mangled, those awesome Midi themes now are soulless, low-quality background themes. As for the Graphics it is exactly like playing any ROM game with those awful filters on, it is lazy, and ruins a lot of the appeal, the resolution options are non-sensical to say the least. Now after all this why do I give it 3 starts? Well the gameplay still holds up, it is an okay shoot em up, not a great one, just an okay shoot em up which appeal was directly proportional to the graphics, and music, without the flare it is a rather short game. There about 27 levels, once you manage to buy the dual laser the game is practically over. Still is a fun and recommendable game, but I would not suggest this version, you would be missing a lot buying this version.
