This is a great game. Technically it runs perfect(!) on my Steam Deck and surely on my 4070 equipped laptop. A no brainer. But what I like most is the story. It is engaging, I always quit playing due to personal time constraints with the feeling that I must know what comes next. It is a story about people, romance, friendship and how the chaos in the world can be understood and dealt with. The game is not a hard game on normal mode and you will find plenty of resources in the open world to refill your ammunition and the gas tank of your bike whenever you need it.
Visuals are stunning and combat is VERY satisfying. Nicely paced mix of fights, places to explore and story progression. Worth every penny!
I really love this game and have sunk 100+ hours into it. I keep coming back to it and even if others have loads of story, visually stunning 3D graphics, this game is easily one of the best. It is almost perfectly balanced and each build has it's unique attack pattern and properties, so one does not easily get tired trying to beat it. At now four boss cells there is still plenty to discover for me. Sound is excellent, paired with the great graphics, each play session is a joy and I no longer mind dying at all. It is FUN. On par with or even above of Nethack, The Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077 and others. Plus: it will probably run on that very old computer of yours, too ;)
Challenging at times, esp when you try to find that last puzzle piece hidden directly in front of you. But it is a very pleasing and nice to look at experience. Puzzles have a very good variation and do not repeat, they are adequately challenging and rewarding to solve. Well done! Even in 2023 a good game which has aged well.
Very nice arcade like shoot em up, twin stick game. Combat is quite easy and although it has some balancing issues (one easily can craft overpowered weapons and items), it is very easy and rewarding to play. Not much of a story, but who cares when the soundtrack it pleasing, the visuals are really nice and it runs seamlessly on a Sterm Deck. I finished the game with all characters on arcade mode and can recommend it at its price of about 8 Euros, mine were well invested.
Apart from Dead Cells (4 boss cells) I am new to platformers. Forgone is not a very hard game. Once you learned the weakness of the enemies - including the bosses up to the last boss - it is quite easy to beat. Still it is fun to play with satisfying combats, does not get boring on a first play through and has one of the best graphics I have seen so far on a game like this. The story is consistent and provides a nice frame for the progression through levels. Definitely a game to play for 7-9 hours for the first playthrough. And such a gem to look at!
