Steelrising

Fun Soulslike

It's a pretty good Soulslike, probably the closest to an actual Souls game in terms of HUD UI and layout, and the enemies/bosses actually feel like Souls enemies by allowing you to be methodical and wait for openings that usually are a similar pace. It's a little bit easier overall without hidden traps everywhere, but overall it's a 5/5 for the combat and I'm really enjoying the writing. Spiders games tend to be overlooked aside from Greedfall mostly, and I have to say. They make fairly good RPGs and are slowly improving more and more. Greedfall and Steelrising are easily two of their best games with Bound By Flame and Technomancer being solid choices too! Anyways aside from overall love for Spiders games, going in with a clear head, it's the most fun I've had with a Soulslike since The Surge and The Surge 2.

GreedFall

Greedfall from an RPG Fan's Perspective

The idea and theme behind this game is what pulled me in to actually buy it. I had been eyeballing it for quite some time now, but wasn't sure if I should make the purchase or not. I ended up purchasing the game, and so far within the 21 hours I've played, being around level 20. I can say it is one of my favorite RPGs for depth of the world, writing, character choices, and stat management. I started off on Extreme difficulty, and have to say. There's enough of a challenge to keep the game going as you slowly get better in combat, and situations. Alongside the stat progression to allow you to make more diplomatic or charismatic choices to avoid many combat scenarios. Overall, I have enjoyed the game and especially the characters and world that's been built in this universe. 5/5 for me, I do recommend; but it may not be for everyone.
