I enjoyed Pony Island a great deal. Part of that enjoyment came from having just played Undertale (which I found good, but flawed in gameplay) and finding similarities between the two in some themes, but it certainly wasn't just because of that. One thing to note though: both are games that are better the less you know about what happens in them plot-wise. Pony Island stands very well on its own four legs. The gameplay is varied, with the endless runner parts, logic puzzles and adventure game mechanics switching each other up just fast enough that the seperate mechanics don't start to get boring or grating. The game shows in a tongue-in-cheek manner how a game developer sets up a game in such a way that players learn the mechanics step by step, before getting to apply them and combine them in more challenging situations. Overall, the game is pretty short, but for its clever and varied take to gameplay, and with its own aesthetic and creepy atmosphere, I definitely consider it a worthy time played.
