The graphics are a bit old, and it's a console port. So, the world has alot of flat surfaces, and there is almost zero ground clutter. And there are lots of brief loading screens (but they load quickly enough to never be annoying). The voice acting is good, and the story is very good, very much like a scripted movie. Everything you might expect from a classic western movie is here. It has a little bit of open-world to explore, mostly to look for gold spots that you can mine for extra money. Gameplay was as a bit tricky when I first started playing, but the game quickly gets easier after you get used to the controls and earn a few upgrades. There were a couple missions in the game that I had trouble completing, but eventually figured them out after several attempts. The ending boss fight is very hard, and annoying. I had to watch a video to get some ideas, and it was still hard even after that. Many, many re-loads to finally get it done. Overall, the game is great though. I had alot of fun. I highly recommend this game!

Old game but still good. The basic gameplay reminded me alot of Diablo 1 but this is full of role-playing quests, stories, and conversations. I had to change the settings down to 800x600 in order to read the text. Also I had to use the built-in configuration to put the game in Software rendering mode because the Direct3d mode was stuttering and lagging like crazy. Anyways, I was having fun for a few hours, and I had just completed all the quests in the starting village , (got to level 8) when all of a sudden the game crashed. So then I spend another hour resetting all kinds of things and trying out different suggested options. But unfortunately, I was never able to get it running again without the game instantly crashing. I finally gave up trying.

I really wanted to like this game. I didn't encounter any bugs. And the graphics are unique and interesting. But what ended up ruining this game for me was the "checkpoint" save system conbined with the game's un-skippable cutscenes. Every time after I had to turn off the PC in the middle of a level, or after I made a crucial mistake during the mission, I would have to re-watch repeats of the same unskippable cutscenes and conversational dialogue again. That quickly became annoying. Especialy in the beginning of the game where I'm just trying to get used to the control and the game mechanics.

You go into an area, the doors close, lots of enemies start swarming, you shoot everything, keep shooting until they stop coming, then move to the next area. Rinse, repeat. The fights are indeed fun, and there are some interesting combat areas. But there isn't much more to the game than that. The more I played, I started to realize how much I appreciated other games that have some kind of legitmate story going on, taking place in some kind of consistent world setting. Some games overload you with dialogue and text to read, and that's exhausting. But then on the other hand, some games are the total opposite.... this game. This game has only a flimsy excuse for a "story". It's essentially nothing but endless wall to wall combat in some totally random "locations". I guess it's a good game for anyone that just wants to relieve some stress and shoot everything in sight. But I just wasn't feeling it. I don't recommend it.

My entire experience with this game was never fun, just endless problem solving. It was difficult to get the camera & mouse settings right, and difficult to get the player & companion A.I. settings right. But as a D&D and RPG fan (Baldurs Gate & Icewind Dale, etc), I really wanted the Neverwinter Nights experience, so I got all the settings set as best as I could, and kept playing this game anyway. But the bug that eventually got me to Ragequit was the random camera flipping. After moving a character, the camera direction violently jerks 90 degrees in a random direction. I spent a couple days searching and reading old pages for a solution, and the only suggestion that had any effect was using a program called the Client Extender. But what that did was change the 90 degree camera flipping, into TWO smaller random camera flips. Now it either flips a small distance in one direction, or sometimes randomly flips back and forth two ways. So this was not solution. There isn't any solution except to uninstall this disaster and try a different game.
