Indiana Jones® and the Emperor's Tomb™

Not such a great game

I bought this game expecting a sort of Tomb Raider-like game, and while I got what I was expecting the quality is a bit....lacking. You play as Indiana Jones (with whip and hat and all) and while the story itself is quite interesting, I found myself struggling with the controls most of the time. This lead to many deaths and much frustration (seeing as how if you die, you have to start the level from start, there is no auto save of quick save or any save of any kind). I was playing with mouse and keyboard, in case that makes a difference. To be fair, I am not great at these sorta jumping, climbing and fighting games, but I feel I would have done a much better job if the camera and movement controls weren't so janky. Not to mention exploration wasn't really encouraged, since many explorations lead to death and, as mentioned before, restart of the whole level. The game itself wasn't very hard, the fights were easy enough on normal and I often figured out the puzzles easily, it was simply the controls that made the game harder than needed. All in all, an okay game that I sadly couldn't wait to complete just to get rid of all frustration. If you like Tomb Raider games and are good at wonky controls, you might really enjoy this. If, like me, you're medicore at these sort of games, you may experience frustration that cannot be changed by turning the game difficulty down. Good story tho, very Indiana Jonesy.
