So I just finished Draugen which took about 3.5 hours, including trying to really enjoy the artwork and reading the letters etc. that you find on your journey. Draugen is a tale about a man who comes to an abandoned norwegian village to find his sister along with his companion Lissie. Lissie is both charismatic and her inclusion makes Draugen feel more interactive than other walking sims. The voice acting and the the music are both great and the game is rather pretty but that about sums up all the good things. The actual story is a very banal tale that has been told oh, so many times before. Something bad has happened, try to puzzle together what and how. The surroundings are indeed beautiful but the village is also the only thing there is to see: you re-visit the same few houses to collect new clues at a snail's pace. The asking price for this game is simply way too high since there is zero reason to replay the game and very little actual gameplay. 10 euros would've been more reasonable: I bought the game at 50 % discount and I still feel like I payed too much.
While gameplay-wise this is rather shallow cover-shooter, it's still regarded as a great game due to the fantastic story and the unusal setting. I played it before and thoroughly enjoyed the ride. A solid recommendation!
I played this on Xbox and enjoyed it. It has a short and pleasant story that reminds me of a classic fairy tale. Gameplay-wise it's a rather easy platformer from an isometric point of view with a focus on lighting dark passages using your limited amount of expendable stearic. I'd recommend playing with a controller if possible.
Enjoyable experience with beautiful settings but pretty tedious gameplay. Would enjoy a return to this universe if it came in the shape of a proper FPS!
