Really want to like this game. Great concept and story. Very frustrating, however, in that I spend more time trying to figure out what to do in each encounter than actually doing anything constructive. Pace of the game for me is clunky and slow. I quickly became bored with it. Maybe it's just not my style of game play.
For those who like DAO series then BG2 is for you. Appears to me that Larian slapped a BG facelift on DOA2 and hoped to make a bundle off the BG hype. I played through BG 1/2 and NWN more than once now, and will probably now make another run through the series. I tried Dragon Age: Origins and I can't make it past the initial startup adventures before boredom sets in. DAO series is just not my type of game. Reviews here have saved me spending $60 for a game that isn't what I anticipated.
