So after manually binding the keyboard layout to my controller to play Metal Gear Solid in the way I always played it I noticed the refusal of the game to fit the resolution of my monitor. So then I visited the settings to see maybe 4 options for graphics in this pc game. So I uninstalled the game and put the ps1 disc in my pc disc tray and ran it in my emulator of choice with countless graphics options. hopefully the full HD collection gets ported to PC one day but when it comes to MGS this certainly aint it.
I'm sure this game is ok but the state of the PC port is unacceptable. -no windowed setting -forced mouse acceleration -forced disable of aero peak -ini that corrupts game if edited -horrible audio corruption in cutscenes -lying mouse sensitivity -no raw input -no FOV slider The only reason I use GOG is to play old games that they claim to fix, however after this and KOTOR I'm strongly considering returning to Steam where they dont pretend to care and the cost of the games are closer to their actual quality. and to fanboys who read this, dont claim to actually care about a game when the community has obviously neglected to fix its issues with a large mod.
