Hellslave

Surprisingly Good

I bought this game when I mistakenly thought it was a Darkest Dungeon-like rogue-lite. Is anything but, its a well-written, enjoyable story driven dungeon-crawler with awesome imagery, great comic-book styled panels, extraordinary combat that keeps you hooked. (It's very clever, every combat has the innate risk of killing you, however, the best way to heal your hit points and mana, your main resources, comes as a reward from fighting). I'm very pleased with this purchased and I'm sorry I played so late after purchasing it. I've been playing 8+ hours and enjoying every minute of it. There is one aspect that is very DD like, and that is that if you like to be on the edge of your seat, dreading what might come next, this is one for your library. If that puts you off, you can always modify the difficulty and give it a try.

It's life changing

First ever D&D game that actually makes me feel like playing the TableTop since the first 2 BG. Too bad Hasbro had to be greedy and push Larian aside. They even had the assets for the DLC underway. Anyhow, bought a over a year before launch, played it intensely in both PC and Console. It's just a treat!
