As a fan of the walking dead games from telltale, I was less than stoked when they announced the title, mainly because I felt it's sole purpose was to pander to the TV show audience / satisfy the needs of the game fan-base while waiting for the third season. Which after playing it feels just about right. The game-play and story are super light. There are about three environments (that's it!) in the game and they are all very unimaginative. You have only one choice that seems to affect the story in future episodes and is extremely familiar, i think they had that type of choice in every telltale TWD episode so far. Also, the game feels unpolished. Luckily I didn't suffer from any kind of serious bugs or glitches, but the music/sound cuts just in the middle of the action while the game saves and moves between acts. This really hurts the "suspension of disbelief" in my opinion. All in all, I'm not ~thattt~ disappointed because this seems like more of an excercise for the developers while waiting for the third season, which telltale promised to be considerably bigger. (Still... they should have saved us some money and made the entire series a single episode) One upside note though which i think people overlook, this game series is really diverse! It really gets a big 100 in representation. I think it's super cool that the protagonists of the games are all black and 2/3 of them are women of colour. That goes to secondary characters too. 2.5/5
