This is my first time playing Croc and while I did expect a cute little platformer, I really didn't expect it to be this shallow. You go through the levels just like any other platformer, but there are very little game mechanics to use and the danger is very tame. They want you to collect everything in the level, but their not required. So if you decide you don't want to collect everything, the levels are incredibly short. LIke instead of collecting stuff being a side goal thing for the player, it's the whole substance of the level. And if you avoid them, your basically missing out on the entire game which is a really flawed game design. But besides that, this remake is great and has all the bells and whistles you want out of a endevour like this. New or old graphics at the switch of a button, high frame rate, runs super smooth. This is a really polished product and does the game justice for fans of the series i'd imagine.
