The game is way harder than hollow knight, but the fast paced game play as opposed to base hollow knight gives a breath of fresh air and needing to keep on your toes with bosses. Although charms are not part of the game, the emblem thingies give the gameplay a tight, but fun way to experiment until you beat the boss.
