World in Conflict: Complete Edition

Simply Excellent!

The single player campaign has a cracking story to it and you really get sucked in to the characters, the game play is fun and though not the most demanding tactically does provide a reasonable challenge, where this game shines however is multiplayer. Having the ability for you and 3 of your friends to class as either Infantry, Armour, Air or Support is brilliant, by each of you taking a different role you can focus on providing the necessary support to your friends and even better, pile in the points to the support player so they can launch NUKES! Ultimately 8 players can play in the same game and it makes for an absolute riot as tanks fire on tanks, infantry dart between buildings, heavy choppers trade fire and artillery ruins everybody's day, Absolutely one not to be missed!

Fragile Allegiance

Clunky yet satisfying.

I played this Gremlin classic originally on the Amiga under the name K240, It was my go to sim game, having that level of control over a colony can really go to your head! This pc remake is one I didn't pick up until recently and apart from the slightly clunky placement system it's still the Gem I remember from my youth, from the trading system to the building system this game has you fighting for mineral deposits, launching devastating salvo's of missiles at your enemy, negotiating peace treaties and ad-hoc alliances or just plain flying a mined out asteroid at your competitor and laughing as they're ground to dust. it's every megalomaniacal space mining conglomerate's dream!
