Cyberpunk 2077

Every game is a story played on stage...

In regards to the story CD Projekt Red delivered what they promised. It is a next-gen *Immersive* experience. Story wise the game is equal to a Witcher 3 with similar quest categories. There are simple quest with only little background, there are side quest with more background and there is a main quest which I think is better than Witcher's not counting Witcher's DLCs. Game's mechanics are a mix of Borderlands, Deus Ex and Watch Dogs and they are fun even though controls are awkward at the times. There are technical issues. However they are not as severe as people say. So far I have not found any game-breaking bugs, and just around 4 immersion-breaking bugs which is to say about 4 too many. If that's a problem to you it would be wise to wait a few months for CD Projekt to fix them. As a whole Cyberpunk is not a next-gen game but it is an amazing RPG with a great effort put into immersion. If treated as a game it is one of the best created in the last 10 years or so. I think low rates are caused by too high expectation. In part because of aggressive marketing, and in part because of CD Projekt's reputation and it's fine. However I think the game shouldn't suffer because of unrealistic expectation. Some people say Cyberpunk fails to deliver a living City and that crowd NPCs just walk around filling space, that you can't sit everywhere and eat everything. All above is correct but what's an alternative? For every NPC to have life of their own, back story, family, tasks and all. There are hundreds of them at the times. Processing power required to create something like that is absurd and I doubt even possible and definitely not possible on this game's requirements. These people expected a simulation and not a game so it's no wonder they feel disappointed. Every game is a story played on stage and Cyberpunk hides this stage well.
