Kingdom Come: Deliverance

Almost worth it...almost

The game is a poor man's version of Skyrim. It's smaller in scope. It's shorter in gameplay. There are more bugs than a southern summer after a mild winter with no freezes. However... As history has shown, the poor man makes up for lack of money with bursts of ingennuity. The fighting system, though bugged, is different than anything you've ever played. It unfortuntely devolves into a "swordplay is for defense only" system. That said, it's neat (but frustrating). The weight system gives you a horse to help carry things in saddle bags that vastly improve your ability to hoard. Too bad no one has enough money to buy your loot. It essentially becomes a barter system where you choose what you want and trade loot to cover costs. There's a system where you get dirty and need a bath. I love it. It's just difficult to understand what you're being penalized for. Spaking of penalties and buffs, what? I spend a lot of time searching forums for answers that have no tooltip ingame. Sleeping and eating ar required, but you can be debuffed in a way that they stil hurt you. Waking up in a different place than where ou fell asleep is...troubling. Which is cool. Questing gives you multiple paths to a solution. Too bad there are "best" solutions, and there is little affect beyond the reptation system. I paid too much, expecting more Mounted Blade aspects than are here (there are none here). I will finish the game, and it will likely disappear from my playlist, never again to be downloaded. The review system says not to talk about price, but let the game stand on its own merits. I say it doesn't merit purchase without being 75% off of 2/3s it's current price, DLC included. There are good ideas, here. Just too many bugs, too small, and not fleshed out. It's an incomplete game trying to fetch a complete price. Sorry not sorry.
