Getting right to the point, this game is short yet still manages to feel repetitive and lacking in content. But hey, it has some nice art at least. There are only 4 areas to explore, they all operate essentially in the same way, and progress is locked behind guessing correct dialogue choices, rather than playing well. To progress in the game you need to collect stars. These stars are collected by recruiting characters to your party. There are 8 to collect in total. This is the first issue, as the main hinderance to completing the game on the first try, is that you end up having to pick a string of 2-4 correct dialogue options in order to get them on your team. For me, this meant replaying the same boirng, pointless areas over and over just to get another shot at the dialogue with the last character needed to proceed to the next section of the game. The next issue, is that all of the areas operate in the exact same way. Explore a small area, flip 3 switches to open a gate to the next area, and recruit 2 characters to get stars. Then it's on to the dungeon of the area, where you look for a key and beat a boss. The main issue is that there is literally nothing to discover or find past your first time through each area, but you'll most likely be forced ro play them several times to unlock the stars you need, cause you didn't know what dialogue option was correct. But there is no interesting loot, new weapons or anything interesting to find. You literally just rush through to get back to the character you need to get on your team. So ultimately, this was a very disappointing experience. Very eaasy combat and exploration, ridiculously pointless dialogues where you have to guess right to progress the game, and incredibly repetitive gameplay in general. Very difficult to recommend this one.
