Cyberpunk 2077

Cybermeh 2077

Cyberpunk 2077 might have been one of the most hyped games in existance. Many people hope that this game will be a revolutionary RPG experience, but booting it up for the first time and actually playing it shows a somewhat different story. The game is incredibly flawed, not just for it's overabundance of bugs, but also for various game design issues. Releasing a game in this bugged state is absolutely unacceptable for a game which had 7+ years of development behind it. Considering the many delays and that CDPR claimed to make the game "as immersive as possible" the state the game is in right now is absolutely baffling. Please do not support this kind of behaviour. I played for over 20 hours so far and I have a lot to say. I will start with the positive aspects first. The game features an amazing soundtrack and the main storyline and side quests are gripping with fantastic writing, good atmosphere and interesting setpieces. That is pretty much it. Now come my issues with the game. The problem here is that almost every single aspect of this game surrounding the amazing music, writing and story is either mediocre or lacking. Combat is mostly comprised of run of the mill shooting, somewhat unresponsive and overpowered Melee combat and a super forgiving stealth system, even on harder difficulty settings. Combat got incredibly annoying to the point where I just turned the difficulty all the way down to easy so I could focus on the dialogue and characters the game has on offer. Freeroaming in this "immersive" RPG is horrible. There isn't anything interesting to see in Night City and the driving doesn't help here. Don't expect car chases either since the game has no driving AI. Something GTA 3 did right many years ago, is not present in this game. There is more to say, but I cannot express it here with the character limit. Only buy this game if you are REALLY interested in the story, everything else is not really noteworthy. This is not a revolutionary game. 2/5
