ENCODYA

ENCODYA Review

Set in a Cyberpunk world, ENCODYA is a point and click adventure game where you can control 2 characters, Tina and her robot guardian SAM-53. Gameplay is not overly complicated with two modes available to choose from at the start, easy or hard. Playing on easy provides you with assistance and hints from SAM-53 if you are stuck on tricky puzzles or what to do next. As with many point and click adventures, there are many ways things can be easily missed if you don't speak to or try options with both characters as each of the main characters have their own special skills and abilities. The game does have randomly generated puzzles that keeps the game interesting. Graphically, ENCOYDA is visually appealing to anyone that enjoys that dark cyberpunk feel, with many stunning locations to explore and incredible cinematic cutscenes. Characters you meet along the way are quite charming and funny. The game's voice acting is very well done. There are slight issues when controlling the characters, such as SAM-53. As he is a big character on screen, he can sometimes get in the way of important items that you might need to pick up. Of course, moving him out of the way is always the best thing to do, but he can also get stuck if Tina is in his way. This is not in any way a major issue, but can get be a little annoying at times. Music, sound effects, and voice acting in the game are of great quality and help set the vibe of exploring Neo Berlin. If you're a fan of point and click adventures set in a cyberpunk world, do give ENCODYA a go. You'll be pleasantly surprised in what you'll find waiting for you in Neo Berlin. Ocean's Heart

Ocean's Heart Review

I normally don't play many Zelda-like games on PC, but Ocean's Heart really hit the spot in terms of old-school feel, vibe and gameplay. Developer Max Mraz has created a fantastic game that draws inspiration from the old Zelda titles like Link to the Past and Link's Awakening but adds a totally fresh outlook on the action RPG genre that we know and love so much! The story is simple to understand and very light-hearted. The characters/main and NPCS' are likable, with most of them dropping hints on how to reach or find hidden items and quests. What I found extremely rewarding was how detailed and easy to follow the main/side quest logs are. As with many Zelda-like titles, the puzzles are present in many of the dungeons. Some are very easy, but some will have you scratching your head on what to do next. Ultimately, they are not overly complicated to complete. If you're looking for a Zelda-like title with great pixel graphics, enjoyable gameplay and fun story then look no further than Ocean's Heart! Oh and the music/soundtrack is superb as well. Also have a short 50 mins of gameplay here covering the first few quests in the game - https://youtu.be/cPg4Lt2pZJs Thank you :)
