As new updates are added, some bugs are fixed, however, there are new bugs introduced which detract from gameplay. These include but are limited to: -Nonsensical police high-saturation coverage that responds poorly to criminal activity, if at all, and may turn on V even if V is not engaged in combat -NPCs can always track V's hacks no matter what level -Poorly designed driving that has never improved since the first edition which was never intuitive -Overpowered opponents and police that are not appropriate to character level -Debuffed attributes of V even with legendary weapons -Debuffed weapons that do not function as implied -Instataneous targeting by NPCs of V even when there should be limitations due to level or due to debuffs -Lifepaths have little impact on consequences or direction of play -Limits on options of paths of travel: V cannot break a glass window to enter or escape a room, while being able to break into a vault door of secure facility. V cannot enter a room that V has just left. V cannot jump in some places even with the ability to do so in most places -I'm Still waiting on that refund that will never come -Reviews have no guidlines Overall, the potential for a great game is there, but the execution is poor. Maybe by 3.5 0r 4.0 it will be the game promissed back in 2013.
As of 2024: release 2.0 Cyberpunk 2077 is not quite playable yet, but close. Too many glitches remain. Driving is still crude. Police coverage is irrational. Police aggressive support of gangs is mindless. Loading screens are still to slow even with a Ryzen 9. The game still crashes randomly. T-posing still plagues the game. Cyberpunk 2077 should be playable and ready for release as soon as these bugs are resolved. Maybe by 2.5 or 3.0 it will be the game as promised more than a decade ago. I am sorry that I pre-ordered.
