Loving the gameplay, it's a good tatical battle/strategy, basically you fight the battle and in the end upgrade the units to better ones (if possible). Just the names are a bit hard to see and some mechanics are dificult to understand until you use them. But love the animations during the game. A good and solid turn base taticel game with a fantasy flare.
One of my first RTS games from the 40k universe was Soulstorm, then got the rest of the set, so love that now I can play them for a few more years with improved graphics and sound, for the rest (unless it's some stability issue that is like plumbing in a house, you never notice until goes wrong) don't notice great changes from the original. Still a great game both in storie and in action, can be tough but can be played to win.
Have no ilusions, this one is a digital board game; you play like you are in a tabletop, just don't have to take notes ( the basic of the digital versions of board games) and with ambient music and great sound effects. Read that it's a good or a bad version of the gameboard, that I don't know; but having lots of fun playing it.
It was my first wahammer game, still in CD, then, loved it, still loving it; the non-linear campaign and the way you can decide the progress of each squadron makes it a game to repeat playing (enough randam events and pickups to maintain the fun for me)..
A game that I would love to love but it's too confusing and weird; the controls are .strange and the limits are too much in everything. Love the looks and love the movement of the units, just spoiled by the confusion and the computer having diferent rules.
Liking the game, good combination of RPG, turrn-based tatics and story; not bad selection of costumization of the before and during the game. Not perfect but great to spend a few hours before you notice it passed.
