If you've thought about buying Fallout, you've probably wondered which game would be the best entry point to the series. Most places, people will point you towards New Vegas. Though I can't comment on how it compares to the other games, as I haven't played them, I can say that on its own, New Vegas is an amazing game. The first thing to talk about is the story and characters. Obsidian does a great job of building the world and the characters within. This is the part of the game that doesn't age like graphics and mechanics do, and it absolutely makes New Vegas worth playing. Speaking of graphics, it's a game from 2010. Don't expect wonders, it looks mediocre at the best of times. Very buggy, as expected. Crashes and poor performance can be fixed with some stability mods, so as long as you're willing to fiddle around with the files a little bit, that shouldn't be a problem. As far as gameplay goes, it's nothing to write home about. The shooting is just decent, RPG portion is pretty good. It's fun to play around, but you you're buying this game for the story.
