It's almost impossible to find a game like this one. They come along once every decade or so. There's no RPG with the depth, the wit, the sheer Orwellian brilliance of this game. It's China Mievelle in videogame form. If you haven't played it, for god's sake you need to.
I really love this game. Some of the people tearing it a new one are slightly baffling me. The most fun puzzle elements in Amnesia: The Dark Descent were not the sanity meter - thank god that's gone, to be quite honest - or the endless chemical puzzles. It was the fear of isolation. It is that which Amnesia 2 gets right. I love Machine for Pigs for the way it has drawn me in. The design is gorgeous, the game has a look and feel unlike any other. Admittedly, the game is too short but then Amnesia 1 was too long.
