I never played the Uncharted franchise before but from what I've heard I expected sth. in the line of Tomb Raider. What I got however was much more. The game plays as if you would play an action movie with lots and lots of puzzles, surprises, combats and so many ancient buildings and creations. Never before have I experienced a game in which the transitions between cutscenes and interactive scenes was so flawless and never before have I played an action game that manages to surprise the player again and again. So many scripted and unexpected events but also so many areas in which you have to figure out how to progress. Especially the climbing is extremely well done and seems to be (I am not a free climber) extremely realistic. Then there are the landscapes that are just breathtaking and the scope you really can feel. If I would have wanted to make screenshots of the prettiest things in the game I could have made screenshots every 5 minutes .. imo it is that beautiful. The characters are not just (mostly) charismatic they are extremely well voiced, animated and they are funny as hell. With the one liners between the different characters who are reacting to mostly everything you do it's really fun doing this journey - or rather journeys. It took me about 20 hours to finish the main game and I thought that the addition "The Lost Legacy" would probably just be a little DLC but it was not. It was a game on its own and it took me another 10 hours to finish that one. I could not even say which of the games I liked more because both were just great in their own way. I've never played the first three games but other than not knowing why some characters are known to the main character it did not feel to me as if I was missing any story content. Of course there were a few artifacts at the beginning of the game that seem to be nods to the earlier parts but the game is absolutely playable without having that knowledge. I would definitely buy Uncharted 1-3 as well!

Please don't support these scam devs by buying this game. The game is missing two updates since about 2 years and neither dev nor publisher is replying to mails or messages on discord, facebook or twitter. The last update improved the introduction section of the game and added additional features ... but not on GOG. I really hope that these devs will go out of business soon since such practices should never survive. Please don't support them. They have already anounced a sequel to this one (since the game does not have a final end) ... they don't have any shame. GOG is doing absolutely nothing to change this. I asked several times and created countless tickets. PLEASE DON'T BUY.

I did not know what to expect from the game and the description was confusing to me but I noticed pretty fast that I made the right decision to buy it. If there ever was a game I would compare this with it would be "The Return of the Obra Dinn". This game is a bit more easy than Obra Dinn but imo not less fun. You are a detective and the game consists of 5 cases (+DLC case) you'll have to solve. In each case you will get represented a map with different rooms and people (represented as circles) in it. You don't know who is who and you can only place your cursor in one room at a time to play the recording (around 15-20 minutes per map) to hear what's been said and done in this room. You can change rooms whenever you like and you can also rewind, fast forward and restart the record. This way you are trying to gather information to find out who is who (you'll have a list with names to chose from for each map) and what the story is all about so that you can answer the final question(s) that are different for each map. To help you finding crucial events you can mark certain events on the record. What makes the game so much fun is that the game is trying to trick the player multiple times so that you will draw the wrong conclusion the moment you are missing certain information so be sure that you witnessed everything you could and that you have listened to every detail very closely. You don't need good reflexes and you don't need to be Sherlock Holmes, you do however need some logical thinking and because of the missing subtitles understanding of the spoken language (English, Chinese, Japanese). English is not my native tongue but imo the voice over is pretty good understandable. Sometimes the (English) voice over seems to be a bit overdramatic but the actors clearly had fun doing them and for me it added to the feeling of puzzling together some mini mystery/crime movies. Highly recommended and I really hope there will be a sequel or some other DLCs sometime.

The game tells a story about Haley, a girl who is falling asleep in the middle of the day and is unable to wake up. She gets thrown into a world of monsters and tries to get back. She finds a talking and seemingly magical scythe and uses it for combat but also for traversal. She can throw the scythe into a wall and jump on it to get to higher places and later in game she will also learn additional abilities for traversal which I won't spoil here. In combat she either simply attacks the monsters directly or she throws the scythe against an enemy again and again to slash monsters and to create combos which in return will make her faster for a short time. The game has 5 worlds each devided into several levels with checkpoints in it. At the end of each level you'll have to destroy a crystal while enemys keep attacking you and at the end of each world you'll have to beat a boss. In each level you'll find coins that will give you the opportunity to either upgrade your character or unlock certain challenges which when beaten will give you a galery picture as a reward. The mysterious and psychological story is told in VN style. The game also has an arcade mode in which the story is omitted and a timer is shown so that you could use it to beat your best time. During the game you will see some scenes that have explicit content in it (nudity, sex with a male and sex with a female - all told from a female POV) but if you don't want such content you also have the option to turn it off. The game is focused on the gameplay and not on the explicit scenes. The game can be played with gamepad or keyboard and you can rebind keys as well. Controls are intuitive and precise, animations and soundtrack are great and each boss is different and creative. The level design keeps surprising the player with new ideas and you can replay each level how often you want. Rather than being frustrating the game is simply just a lot of fun and I highly recommend it.

I was expecting a short and nice isometric point and click adventure, maybe some occasional horror now and then and the usual inventory puzzles. What I got was an epic story with likeable characters, great voice overs, beautiful and at the same time horrifying artstyle and lightning and quite a lot of creative and interesting puzzles that go far beyond your usual inventory puzzles (which are also included). The more I played the more I felt as if I'd play a movie. Maybe because of the top notch cinematics, maybe because of the great voice overs that made me feel with the characters. The game also was not short and it took me 20 hours to finish it. If you like Sci-Fi Horror and point and click adventures you can't go wrong with this one.

Just finished the game. With roughly 6 hours playtime it is not really long but I enjoyed every last second of it. In opposite to The Room or House of Da Vinci it is unlikely that you will experience a single moment in the game which will be frustrating. The puzzles are completely logical and everything is well animated and looks just great. I did not experience any bugs in the game except for some tiny translation issues for the German localization. I already contacted the devs about those but it seems as if I will also be able to create a patch for those by myself which I will then post in the forums for those who want to play the German version of the game. Hopefully they will do a second game (which is announced in the end of this one) and hopefully it will come to GOG as well. Thanks to the devs - this was great fun.
