Saya no Uta ~ The Song of Saya Director's Cut

Pretty dandelions...

I own the old original game and I replayed it with the applied new free remaster patch. Saya no Uta is an absolute masterpiece of storytelling. If I remember well, the Steam version was censored and that was insane cause XXX parts of the game here are very important for the story but this is first and foremost a horror/love story, not porn. Having said that, I'd recommend this game to all horror fans with just a friendly warning for those new to Japanese VNs. There are 2 or 3 choices throughout the whole game (it depends on what path you choose) so the game is mostly heavy reading and, equal part, nice art. You SHOULD NOT play this game if you're depressed or in a dark period of your life. Also, the game is very DISTURBING - forget childish jump scares - this is something completely else. I'll just finish this review with a warning that you'll go through a plethora of different, often contradictory, emotions: revulsion, love, sadness, desperation... all of them reserved for our protagonist and Saya. And let's not forget the music - I can still hear Sabbath when I close my eyes.
