if only they had been allowed to finish Diablo 3 it wouldn't be the abysmal failure that it is. Torchlight is a breath of fresh air and is fun, everything an ARPG should be... you can get uber powerful, great loot, much fun and the game is completely accessible. No DRM to interfere with your enjoyment; moddable, playable online or over a LAN or just by yourself. CANNOT WAIT for TL2 which will be out later this year.
