I played Shadow Warrior 2 with a couple of friends--it's a fantastic, hectic and insane FPS with a story that you can really choose to ignore. The action is where this game lives, and it's fast-paced and explosive. The graphics are detailed and gorgeous, with a variety of levels and backdrops including a very futuristic city setting that I was quite fond of. There's surprisingly involved levelling and weapon customisation features as well--although that's where the game loses out on five stars. A certain aspect of the levelling system is intentionally arduous to prevent (I presume) characters from being overpowered and encourage multiple play-throughs... in a game where my character was definitely overpowered and it was AWESOME. Not that it kept me from dying or something, but this game isn't a serious exploration of survival and the human psyche. This game is about making terrible jokes while rendering enemies into giblets. The music is also fast-paced and brilliant! I don't know how fun this would be in single player. With some friends though, it's absolutely balls-to-the-wall action. Recommended.
