Requiem: Avenging Angel

So average it's forgettable.

In description, this game sound very similar to several great title of its time (Half life, Deus Ex, Dark Forces II) but its execution is very mediocre. Basically no feature of the game is done very well or very bad: - The voice acting is dull - Weapons and enemies have poor balance. You get too much ammo for the rocket launcher but barely any for the much weaker sniper rifle. Hitscanning enemies are more dangerous than big armored enemies. - The powers are just given to you at arbitrary times. Some are used for puzzle once and never again. Some are very creative and fun to use, others have incredibly obnoxious effects and sounds. - The levels are decently varied but feature confusing copy pasted rooms. It hes sort-of hub areas, but is in practice very linear. The most memorable hell-like level is at the start of the game and never really used after that. - The only challenge offered by Bosses is figuring what hurt them, their attacks tend to be really easy to dodge. If you really want to play a late 90s shooter, there's worse choices, but there's also better ones.

Mediocre game that aged very poorly

A game that mix car combat and FPS and is really poor at both. The car combat is lackluster, biggest issue is bad camera but it made more frustrating by the amount of time the game put you in 1 vs 5 scenario or when facing opponent with homing weapons while you don't. The gunplay is incredibly limited , very frequent collision issues with the environment. The AI has no reaction time, so stand still and you're dead, but keep moving and they always miss you. The only praise is the fairly large outdoors, but like many games of its time this result in very crappy indoors. It also doesn't use these big environments very well, only few map feature lengthy driving sequences, its otherwise arenas connected to arenas. Of course this is gog, so there's dozens of "I played this when i was 5! 10 out of 5 star best gaem eva"

STAR WARS™ Shadows of the Empire™

Crappy early n64 title

A glorified early n64 tech demo with horrible controls and empty, boring levels. Exactly the kind of game better left forgotten. Even games like Rogue Squadron and Dark Forces II : Jedi Knight released the following years later vastly outclasses it.
