The game is absolutely amazing, for its time and 20 years later. It features some of the finest shooting and firefights you can find in games. And the story, atmosphere, and worldbuilding are a perfect mix of sci-fi and paranormal. Expansions are very uneven and nowhere as good as the main game, but they have their moments. Also, fan made ECHO patch is a must. It makes so blood decals, bullet holes, and all the results of carnage stay on the map indefinitely - so when the bullets stop flying, you can appreciate the results of your actions. Thanks to GOG, now I have the installer always backed up on my hard drive.

Excellent TPS from the mid-2000s. From the first minutes till the credits it's non-stop action. Destructible environments, bullet time, pigeons, endless gun magazines - all the staples of John Woo movies are recreated here with care, it's clear that the team behind this game was passionate fans of Hong-Kong action movies. Even Chow Yun-Fat reprises his role of detective Tequilla from Hard Boiled. It delivers in every way.

Shadow Ops is FPS game in style of mid 2000 hollywood action movies. Cheesy mix of Brosnan era James Bond and Tom Clancy's stories that takes itself too serious - globe trotting, stolen nukes, cheesy villain. If you enjoy spy/military fiction of that particular time you'll enjoy it. Gameplay wise it reminded me most of EA's 007 games (Agent under fire, Nightfire) but without gadgets. Overall fine fps with few minor issues (Health system and save system).
